Getting back to Originals - part 2

So here comes part 2 where I'll enlist more such ways through which our past had contributed to our present and future! 6. Our meals are an epic example of a wholesome and balanced meal. Right from the north to down south, east to west, our meals are power pack houses of proteins, carbs, fruits, veggies, the milk products, and the sugars and oils, which form the different components of a balanced diet. Time and again we have heard of consuming whole meals, a balanced diet is a healthy diet and the like. We follow diet plans and research the internet to find the best suited balanced diet and the most nutritious one, but have we ever researched with our mothers? No! She would be the person telling you, which is the best balanced diet for you, according to your likes and dislikes, according your culture, according your budget and economy, according to her ease of cooking and according to everything that's available in the markets seasonally. Getting back to originals

As my title suggests, today is the age where people are resorting to the old age where foods and living was more natural. Be it farming, or cooking methods, preservation or consumption pattern, we all are going back to the times of our grandparents, and great grand parents. Their's was a time when there was no adulteration in foods, there was no fertilizers or insecticides, there was no expensive stuff, yet they were healthy wealthy, fit and fine!!  Today we are doing organic farming which adds to the cost of living, so it's not acceptable by the large Indian population. In the market today, we are getting more and more food products that focus on the consumption of millets of Indian origin which are far better than the foreign ingredients. If the foreigners are getting back in India's past to find the best healthy food choices, why are we imbibing the English way of lifestyle which they are soon leaving behind?
